Current fee disclosure

How every dollar moves.

SConnect has no worker subscription. At checkout, the tipper sees one exact total containing the selected tip, the 5% SConnect service fee, and the checkout-processing charge.

Last updated July 20, 2026

The selected tip goes to the worker

The amount labeled as the tip is allocated in full to the worker's connected Stripe balance. SConnect does not subtract its service fee or checkout-processing charge from that selected amount. A later refund, dispute, reversal, negative balance, hold, or provider adjustment can still change what is ultimately available.

5% service fee plus processing

The tipper pays a separate SConnect service fee equal to 5% of the selected tip and a checkout-processing charge currently calculated using a 2.90% + $0.30 estimate on the total card charge. The exact total and itemized amounts appear before the tipper continues to Stripe.

No SConnect cashout fee

SConnect has no worker subscription, does not take another 5%, and does not currently add a fee when a worker requests a Standard or Instant payout. SConnect currently bears the platform account and payout charges Stripe bills under SConnect's Connect pricing.

Payout timing is controlled by Stripe

Standard payouts use settled available funds. Instant Payouts require an eligible destination and Stripe-designated Instant balance; some pending card funds can qualify. Stripe controls availability, limits, arrival estimates, holds, and reversals. SConnect never guarantees an arrival time.

Refunds and disputes

SConnect does not currently add its own dispute-response fee. A refund, card dispute, chargeback, or transfer reversal can reduce or make a worker's connected balance negative. If an issuer resolves a dispute in SConnect's favor, eligible reversed worker credit is restored after Stripe reports that result.

Worker is a product role, not a SConnect job

A worker independently chooses whether to use SConnect to receive voluntary tips for the worker's own activities. SConnect does not hire, schedule, supervise, direct, set wages for, or provide the worker's underlying services. The label does not itself decide the worker's legal relationship with a venue, employer, customer, or anyone else; the actual facts and applicable law control.

Stripe calls the combined service and processing amount an application fee inside its payment records. That is not an additional fourth charge. Actual card-network and Stripe costs can differ from the checkout estimate; SConnect retains a positive difference or bears a negative difference. The selected tip does not change.

Agreement and future changes

What fee acceptance covers.

Account signup or renewed clickwrap records acceptance of the fee-disclosure version presented at that time. For each tip, the tipper sees the selected tip, 5% service fee, checkout-processing charge, and exact total before leaving for Stripe. Continuing and completing Stripe Checkout authorizes that transaction's displayed total only; it is not authorization for a subscription or a later charge.

SConnect may change its fees prospectively when its product, provider costs, risk, or legal obligations change. A material new worker-facing fee or material change to an existing fee will be clearly disclosed before it applies, will identify its effective date, and will require renewed affirmative acceptance before the affected fee-bearing feature can be used when required by law or when the change materially alters the worker's agreement. Existing acceptance is not blanket consent to undisclosed future fees.

A worker who does not accept a future fee change may stop using the affected future feature or pause new tips before the change applies. Refusal does not transfer an existing connected balance to SConnect or retroactively change a completed transaction. Completed transactions remain subject to the disclosure shown for that transaction, together with any later refund, dispute, reversal, correction, or legal requirement that validly applies.

Pending, Standard available, and Instant available balances are different Stripe views and can overlap. They must not be added together. In the United States, Stripe's manual-payout documentation currently imposes a two-year maximum holding period; SConnect may initiate a payout sooner when needed to comply with provider or legal requirements.

The fast guest flow accepts cards only. A bank account on a worker's profile is a payout destination, not an ACH payment option for tippers. Stripe pricing and product eligibility can change. Review Stripe Connect pricing, the manual payout rules, the SConnect Terms, and the Privacy Policy.

Fees described as SConnect fees are charged by Ismael Hernandez Jr., a California sole proprietor operating SConnect. They support operation of the Service and do not make SConnect the worker's employer, venue, customer, or provider of the underlying activity. Workers remain responsible for their own tax reporting and for complying with any lawful venue, employer, or workplace obligations that apply to them.
